OUR SIX COMMITMENTs TO
SUPERNATURAL SPIRITUAL GROWTH
(1) Our mouth determines our maturity. Our WORDS bring either life or death.
True maturity starts with what we say because the MOUTH is the first place self-control shows up when pressure and warfare come.

Indeed, we all make many mistakes. For if we could control our tongue's,
we would be perfect and could also control ourselves in every other way.
James 3:2 NLT

Death and life are in the power of the tongue. Those who love it will eat its fruit.
Proverbs 18:21 NKJV

(2) Our maturity determines our discernment — We do not give
our minds over to endless opinions.

Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see
if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.
1 John 4:1 NLT
God calls us to test everything against His Word, not react emotionally to every voice.
A mature mind stays anchored in truth.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.
2 Corinthians 10:3-4 NKJV

Discernment keeps us from endless opinions because our battle is spiritual, not carnal.
We tear down mental strongholds by aligning with God’s truth.

Endless opinions build strongholds, but spiritual maturity uses God’s power to tear them down.

(3) Maturity means — Less content, more communion.
Fewer teachers, more Scripture.

Read the Bible everyday even if it is a few verses. Scripture is the final authority.
Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you
will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper
and succeed in all you do.
Joshua 1:8 NLT

Maturity is formed by meditating on the Word day and night, not scrolling through endless content.

It is written! Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
Matthew 4:4 NKJV
Less content, more communion because information without intimacy
produces knowledge, not transformation.

(4) Maturity lives in rest. Quiet endurance produces spiritual strength.
True faith does not seek attention — it abides, trusts, and remains steady.
Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalm 91:1 NLT
Maturity understands that true rest is tied to trust. The fruitfulness in our life comes
from His faithfulness. Spiritual strength grows where we learn to dwell.
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine,
and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me.
John 15:4 NLT

True maturity is learned by remaining in Christ. Fruit comes from abiding, not striving.
Faithfulness grows in the unseen, not in what is comfortable or popular.

(5) Maturity chooses obedience over understanding.
We will not compromise or reason away conviction,
true obedience will cost us something.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6 NKJV

If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way,
take up your cross daily, and follow me.
Luke 9:23 NLT

True discipleship costs us our own way.

(6) Maturity leads through love, not control.
Maturity is expressed through love, patience, and self-control.

Love is the fruit of everything on this list.
Truth is never separated from love, and love never compromises truth.
Instead, we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ, who is the head of his body, the church. He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love.
Ephesians 4:15-16 NLT

Love is the measure of spiritual maturity without it, truth becomes noise and leadership loses its authority.
If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others,
I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal… but if I didn’t love others, I would be nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:1–2 NLT
